Important: This starter policy is designed to make the store operational, but the breeder must review it against actual business practices and applicable law before accepting orders. Replace any term that does not match the business.
1. Agreement and eligibility
By using this website or placing an order, the buyer agrees to the policies displayed at the time of purchase. The buyer confirms that they meet the store’s age requirements, may lawfully purchase and possess the animal at the destination, and have provided accurate contact and delivery information.
2. Individual-animal listings
Each live-animal product is one individual gecko unless a listing clearly states otherwise. Photos and descriptions are intended to represent that animal at the time they were created. Crested gecko color and contrast can change with lighting, fired state, shedding, age, and environment. Future adult appearance is not guaranteed.
3. Sex, genetics, and lineage
Sex is described as confirmed, probable, or unsexed. Young animals may not be capable of definitive visual sexing. Morph, trait, lineage, and parentage descriptions reflect the breeder’s records and good-faith assessment. Unless a written guarantee is stated on the specific listing, no particular breeding outcome is promised.
4. Payment and reservation
An animal is not reserved until the required payment or deposit is received and confirmed. Manual payment-app orders remain On Hold until verified. Buyers should use commercial or goods-and-services payment features when available and should never send money to an unconfirmed account. Unpaid orders may be cancelled after a reasonable payment window communicated by the breeder.
5. Shipping and pickup
Live-animal shipping is scheduled separately from checkout. Obsidian Morphs may delay shipment because of weather, carrier conditions, holidays, destination restrictions, buyer availability, or animal welfare. Buyers must follow the current Shipping & Live Arrival Policy. Local pickup is by appointment only.
6. Cancellations, deposits, and refunds
Any cancellation, deposit, payment-plan, refund, replacement, or store-credit terms communicated on the listing or invoice become part of the order. Fees already incurred and nonrefundable deposits may be deducted where permitted and disclosed. An order cannot be cancelled after transfer or shipment merely because the buyer changed their mind.
7. Health and veterinary care
Known conditions should be disclosed in the animal profile. A live animal can experience stress during transition and may need time to resume normal behavior. The buyer assumes responsibility for proper husbandry and veterinary care after transfer. Contact an experienced reptile veterinarian promptly when health concerns arise.
8. Prohibited conduct
Users may not attempt fraud, chargeback abuse, unauthorized access, scraping that disrupts the site, false identity, unlawful purchase, or misuse of copyrighted photographs and text.
9. Website information
Care articles provide general educational information and are not veterinary or legal advice. Obsidian Morphs may correct errors, update inventory, modify policies prospectively, or refuse a transaction when necessary for animal welfare, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or safety.
