Live animals are not ordinary parcels. Obsidian Morphs coordinates each shipment around the animal, current weather, carrier conditions, destination rules, and the buyer’s ability to receive or collect the package. Payment does not create an automatic ship date.
How scheduling works
- The buyer completes checkout or confirms an approved payment arrangement.
- Obsidian Morphs reviews the origin, hub, and destination conditions and contacts the buyer.
- The buyer confirms the delivery address, contact information, and availability.
- A specific shipping or local-pickup date is agreed upon.
- Tracking information is provided after the shipment is prepared.
Weather and carrier holds
Shipping may be delayed when temperatures, storms, carrier disruptions, holidays, or other conditions create unnecessary risk. A weather hold is not a cancellation. The animal remains in the breeder’s care until a safer window is available, subject to the order terms.
Hub pickup may be required or strongly preferred in some conditions because it can reduce time on a delivery vehicle and provide a controlled handoff point. The buyer must bring identification that matches the shipment and collect within the agreed period.
Buyer responsibilities
- Provide a complete, accurate address and reachable phone number.
- Confirm that the animal may legally be possessed at the destination.
- Be available for the agreed delivery or pickup arrangement.
- Open the package promptly in a safe indoor location.
- Contact Obsidian Morphs immediately if there is a concern.
- Follow any photo, video, timing, packaging-retention, or veterinary documentation requirements communicated with the order.
Live-arrival terms
The exact live-arrival remedy and eligibility conditions must match the breeder’s current written policy and the facts of the shipment. Delays caused by an incorrect address, missed pickup, refusal, unauthorized rerouting, failure to communicate, or a destination restriction may affect eligibility. Cosmetic differences, normal firing changes, sex estimates, and future adult appearance are separate from live arrival.
Launch note for the breeder: review this page before taking orders and add the exact notification deadline, pickup deadline, covered shipping method, documentation required, and whether the remedy is replacement, store credit, refund, or another option. Do not promise a guarantee broader than the business can consistently honor.
Local pickup
Local pickup in North Alabama may be arranged by appointment. The exact location is shared privately after confirmation. Animals should not be left unattended at a meeting point, and buyers should arrive with a secure transport container when requested.
