Obsidian Morphs is a small-scale crested gecko breeding program based in North Alabama. The goal is straightforward: raise healthy, established animals, document them honestly, and make it easier for buyers to understand exactly what they are considering.
Individual animals, not interchangeable inventory
Every crested gecko is different. Color can change between fired-down and fired-up states. Pattern expression can become clearer as an animal matures. Temperament, feeding preferences, growth rate, and structure also vary. That is why the store is built around individual profiles rather than generic stock photos or broad “choose a morph” listings.
When information is known, a profile may include hatch date, current weight and weigh date, sex or probable sex, morph and traits, sire and dam, lineage notes, current diet, temperament, tail status, known condition disclosures, and whether shipping or local pickup is available.
What responsible placement looks like
A sale should be a good match for both the keeper and the animal. Obsidian Morphs encourages buyers to prepare the enclosure before ordering, read the care information, ask questions, and be realistic about long-term responsibility. Crested geckos are often described as beginner-friendly, but “beginner-friendly” does not mean maintenance-free.
Shipping is coordinated rather than automated. Payment confirms an order, but the animal does not leave until an appropriate delivery window has been agreed upon. Weather, carrier schedules, destination rules, and the buyer’s ability to receive the package all matter.
North Alabama roots, nationwide service
Local pickup may be available by appointment in North Alabama. Eligible animals can also be shipped to permitted destinations within the continental United States when conditions are appropriate. Exact pickup locations are shared privately for safety and scheduling.
